Across a Crowded Room…

Ever have that sixth sense, instant acceptance of how fabulous something is gonna be?

Across a crowded room, you catch a glimpse of a very intriguing person. You just know you have to meet them… All the while as you skirt conversations and find a meandering long way through the kitchen,  staying away from the garlic dip..’just incase’; scoffing at the idea that your souls could do anything but fall back together after a millennia of near misses. In the course of an hour or two, this unknown, sliver of a human, is closing in on the sought after slot of SOULMATE, without even a blink in your direction? Then, at the end of a very drawn out agonizing evening in which fate has forsaken you by refusing to grant you the one wish you’ve ever asked of it, you meet at the doorway. As if the steps of a sensual slow dance conspired to bring you and  this incredibly, perfect-for-you, the years stretch out before you… person, together.

And… they make a simple faux pas, or have horrific blue cheese breath and your fantasies whither like cherry blossoms in an unforgiving spring frost…

Yea, that’s how this wine tasted… I had such high hopes. We meshed, angels sang when I read the label… I should have left things that way. A never-to-be  tasted forbidden fruit…
